Co-Creational News Media Toolkit

Toolkit

This toolkit is for anyone who wants to learn more about co-creational news media, from journalists planning to adopt co-creational elements in their work to members of the public wanting to get involved in a co-creational initiative. It distils the experience of a wide range of news media pioneers who are leading the development of the co-creational model in the UK and around the world.

The toolkit is built around four modules of news media – governance, content creation, fact checking and impact – combined with four principles – participation, truth-seeking, accountability and care. Multiplying the four modules by the four principles generates sixteen elements, which you can explore in a variety of ways through this website.
